

With the help of chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage, Adrienne was feeling better than she did prior to the accident within two weeks. In addition, yoga and meditation practices help her navigate her own life.Īdrienne Suess was gifted with a car accident in 2014, because the day following the accident she got acupuncture for the first time. She finds pleasure and refreshment in almost anything outdoors: hanging in a hammock, biking, kayaking, camping, and walking her Goldendoodle dog, to name a few. Kim is passionate about social justice issues and committed to her faith community. These life experiences helped her see first-hand how stress and trauma affect health. Kim also spent more than a decade working overseas as a humanitarian aid worker in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Prior to becoming a health professional, she was a computer programmer in the corporate world. She has experience practicing in traditional clinics, hospital in-patient, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in-patient and out-patient, as well as community style clinics. Through her training and her own personal journey, she has seen how Traditional Chinese Medicine can give people a new lease on health and life.Īlthough she enjoys treating all conditions, Kim has special interest in neuropathy, sciatica, back pain, knee pain, Bell’s Palsy, stroke recovery, emotional imbalances such as anxiety and depression, trauma, insomnia, menopausal issues, chronic pain management, stress management, oncology support and fertility for same sex couples. Kim’s approach to integrative medicine supports the whole self: mind, body, and spirit. The next step was pursuing a second master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine.īefore owning Merriam Park Acupuncture, Dawn practiced acupuncture at Salvation Army, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, Fairview Hospital, Bloomington Natural Care Center, Pathways Health Crisis Resource Center, and Fertile Ground Natural Care. After completing her own healing journey, she decided that acupuncture was the best fit for her goal of healing others to achieve optimal health. During that time, she also took a year-long backpacking trip through various parts of the world.ĭawn yearned for a holistic medicine approach that incorporates natural healing by encompassing the mind, body, and spirit. She worked for seven years treating men, women, and youth at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Pride Institute, and the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility.

As of October 1, 2020, she is focusing solely on running the business and no longer treating clients.ĭawn started her career as an alcohol, drug addiction and mental health counselor. Dawn is the owner of Merriam Park Acupuncture.
